From FBI and Lumina to Building Industries
Established in the early ‘70s under the name ‘Federal Building Industries’ or short FBI, the company started as a licensee of Hunter Douglas - the world market leader in Sun Control Systemss and a major manufacturer of architectural products - operations with the manufacture range of Aluminium ceilings and claddings under the brand name Luxalon.
Soon manufacturing capabilities extended to Sun Control Systems products under the brand Luxaflex and other architectural products, facias and interior decoration products.
Over the years the company developed into an industry leading, award winning, manufacturing and contracting company.
Incorporated in the year 1999, AWRostamani Lumina was an integral part of the AWRostamani Group. Lumina is the premier industry leader in the manufacturing of high quality luminaires and lighting control equipment for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
In 2008 FBI and Lumina merged to one company under the common name ‘AWRostamani Building Industries’ or short ‘BI’.

Building Industries is both Distributor of high quality products for the architectural and finishing sector and Provider of services for finishing solutions in this sector.
The range of products span from the FRATER lighting systems – manufactured in our own premises, over products of other prestigious producers as lights, suspended ceilings and raised floors to Sun Control Systems.
Our services of finishing solutions range from installation of suspended ceilings and lighting systems, raised access floors, partitioning and Sun Control Systems to the installation of kitchen and appliances.
On both, the Quality of the distributed Products and the Quality of our Sevices, we make highest demands and our target is to deliver best quality in time to the satisfaction of our customer.
We work closely together with architects and engineering consultants, property owners and contractors, interior designers and decorators.
We market our Products in the Middle East, Africa and the Pan Arabian region and offer our Services in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain.
